Baldovino

Faithful only in appearance to his father Gano, Baldovino is Magonzese not by choice, although his good soul is in contrast with what his family imposes.

The Syracuse tradition does not attribute to the Magonzesi any emblem, unlike that of Catania or Palermo. Symbol and peculiarity of this lineage are the elegant armors and the expressiveness of the look of the characters.

The armor worn by Baldwin is made of 4dm bronze foil chemically treated to obtain the greenish oxidation generated by this metal. The works of sculptor Igor Mitoraj on display this summer in Noto and Piazza Armerina have definitely inspired, leading to innovate again this new realization.
